Heat wave death toll crosses 800 in AP, Telangana
The heat wave sweeping through the states – Telangana and AP is not relenting to decrease as it has further claimed more 90 lives taking the toll over 800. 55 people succumbed to the sunstroke in AP while 35 were killed in Telangana.

The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre issued a warning that the heat wave will continue until the next 24 hours. Even though there was a slight dip in the temperature in Telangana, the heat wave still ranged at 42 degrees in the region.
AP Deputy Chief Minister N Chinna Rajappa on Tuesday said that the disaster management officials confirmed that the deaths reported till Monday in AP was 551 and 215 in Telangana.The Deputy Chief Minister informed that the government has announced Rs 1 lakh each for the families of the victim as compensation.
