Painter killed by brother over property dispute

A 35-year-old painter was allegedly killed by his younger brother following a dispute over ancestral property. According to Shalibanda police, the victim, M Dasu Shankar, was allegedly beaten by his younger brother Anil Kumar on Wednesday night at his residence in Kalvagadda.

Shankar died on the spot. They were having a dispute over property since the death of their mother about four months ago. A case of murder under Section 302 has been registered against Anil Kumar. Investigations are on, Shalibanda Inspector Maheshwar said.
