Hyderabad: The 34th Mahanadu has given a clarion call to the rank and file to take on the TRS and mount an unrelenting all out fight against TRS and work in the direction of bringing the party to power in 2019 Assembly elections in the State. Speaking at Mahanadu here, on Friday,TDP supremo Nara Chandrababu Naidu demanded the TRS- led government to immediately conduct elections for GHMC.

Referring to the party cadre attending the Mahanadu from various parts of Telangana, he said “TDP workers had the track record of fighting for the party even when they were under the threat from the Naxal groups. The party workers had kept the TDP flag flying high during the Congress regime under YS Rajasekhara Reddy, when several of its leaders and party workers lives and properties were at stake.”

Party activists felicitate N Chandrababu Naidu upon his election as the party central committee president at Mahanadu on Friday

But, the undeterred party workers stood by the party like a rock and took the party forward. So, there is nothing to fear about TRS. Continue to fight and keep up your energies high until TDP comes to power in Telangana in 2019”, he said. Earlier, speaking on the resolution senior T TDP leaders Prakash Goud, Serilingampalli MLA A Gandhi, Malkajgiri MP Malla Reddy took the TRS government to task calling it as a “Galli Party” having neither cadre, nor leaders in Hyderabad.

It was due to fear of losing that the TRS government has been delaying GHMC elections. The T TDP leaders vowed to win 80 to 100 seats and come to power in GHMC elections. Citing that all the development in and around Hyderabad had been done during the TDP regime, they pointed out that the TRS government is putting up only show by taking up programmes like Swachh Hyderabad.

But, at the end of four days of Swachh Hyderabad, again the municipal waste has been piling up everywhere in the city. This shows lack of vision and it was for the same reason that the TDP cadre has stuck to the party, to work under a visionary leader like N Chandrababu Naidu, said Gandhi.
