Women attack illicit liquor vendors

Women from Chiroli village on Saturday attacked liquor vendors here and burnt illicit liquor bottles. The women said some people were selling illicit liquor in the area and ‘spoiling’ youth and men. They claimed that in spite of their complaints, police did not take action against them.
Greater Noida: Women from Chiroli village on Saturday attacked liquor vendors here and burnt illicit liquor bottles. The women said some people were selling illicit liquor in the area and ‘spoiling’ youth and men. They claimed that in spite of their complaints, police did not take action against them.
On Saturday around a dozen women along with some youth reached the stores and beat up the men selling liquor. They then set ablaze two cartons of liquor stored there. Seeing the fire, a police team reached the spot and pacified the women by assuring action against the liquor mafia.
