Dr Pinnamaneni Sidhartha Institute of Medical Sciences (PSIMS) at Pedautapalli in Krishna district entered into a tie up with John Peterson Smith (JPS) Hospital, Fortworth, Dallas, USA, regards to the initiatives taken by the MP Kesineni Srinivas.

Speaking to media persons on Sunday, the MP said that the collaboration of medical college would help a cultural and technical exchange among students and professors and would inturn benefit in better medical care in Vijayawada.

He said that John Peterson Smith Hospital has been sponsoring more than 170 training positions in several universities in the world. He said the Sidhartha Medical Institute and JPS hospital will come together to coordinate and cooperate in the fields of medical research, patient care, faculty and student exchange programmes.

PSIMS director general Dr C Nageswara Rao thanked the MP for his initiative. Dr G Eswar, who accompanied the students to US explained about the papers presented at JPS annual research day. N Venkateswarlu and P Lakshmana Rao of Sidhartha Academy were present at the event.
