Hyderabad: Suspecting infidelity, a 30-year-old man allegedly slit the throat of his wife leading to her death under Rajendranagar police station limits, police said on Monday evening. According to Rajendranagar police, Md Ghouse lived with his wife, 25, in a rented house at Arsh Mahal on Road No. 9 in Rajendranagar area.

Ghouse suspected that his wife was having an extramarital affair and she had become pregnant due to the illicit relationship. The couple got married about eight years ago and has three children. “On Monday, Ghouse had a heated argument with his wife. In a fit of rage, he assaulted her and slit her throat with a sharp knife.

The neighbours, who heard the commotion, thought it was just another domestic spat till they found the victim dead in the house,” the cops said adding that efforts are being made to nab the culprit who is an auto-rickshaw driver. Police who swung into action shifted the body to Osmania Hospital for post-mortem examination.
