Outlook report on woman IAS officer outrages Cong leaders

Warangal: The district Congress leaders have criticized the remarks made in a report published by the news magazine 'Outlook' about a woman IAS officer in Telangana State Chief Minister's office.

The snippet that referred to the official’s looks, attire and rise through the ranks and describes her as ‘eye candy’ was not in good taste and unbecoming on the part of journalists said the district Congress president N Rajender Reddy, city wing president T Vidyasagar and the TPCC media convener EV Srinivas Rao.

They described the report on the woman IAS officer as disgusting and cheap which adversely affects her reputation. In a statement here on Tuesday, the Congress leaders suggested that there should be a self-check on part of the journalists and media organizations so as to avoid such write ups, which were detrimental to image of the persons involved.
