Warangal: BJP MLA NVSS Prabhakar alleged that the State government was non-committal on the Godavari Pushkarams works. The MLA said that he would visit the Pushkar Ghats spread across Telangana to inspect the works.

Speaking to press persons in Hanamkonda on Tuesday, Prabhakar stated that the BJP was committed to the development of Warangal, the second important city in Telangana after Hyderabad. It was because of the local BJP leader’s persuasion the Centre has selected Warangal for Smart City and Heritage City projects.

The Heritage City project would help protection and restoration of the historical monuments to attract more tourists. It would help generate employment to the local unemployed youth. The Smart City project would ensure more modern facilities with latest technology in all spheres.

If the people of Warangal elect the BJP candidate in the ensuing Warangal Parliament bye-elections, the district would witness more development. “I appeal to people to elect the BJP nominee and it would ensure more development here as the BJP is at the helm at the centre”, the MLA pointed out.

Hitting out at the TRS rule in the State, Prabhakar alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had failed on all fronts and could not deliver on election promises such as regularising the services of contract and outsourcing employees even after one year of assuming power.

“The Chief Minister is busy encouraging defection by luring Opposition MLAs into TRS fold, but he had no time to keep his promises made to contract and outsourcing employees”, he alleged. BJP district president E Ashok Reddy, leaders G Premender Reddy, N Venugopal Reddy and others were present.
