In a meeting of the AP and Telangana State Election Commissions, the State Election Commission (SEC) finalized the division of the assets and employees between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in the population ratio of 58.32 and 41.68 respectively.

43 posts of the 74 sanctioned posts excluding that of secretary (cadre post) were allocated to APSEC and 31 posts to TSEC. From the 17 regular employees – 10 were allocated to APSEC and the remaining to Telangana.


As for the office space - the Buddha Bhavan office was retained by APSEC while TSEC will continue to function from 5th floor - DTCP Building, opposite PTI Building, AC Guards, Hyderabad. A permanent office building for TSEC will be situated at Gachibowli for which government land has been allotted for construction.
