Nizamabad: “Nobody is ready to join Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) along with former PCC chief D Srinivas. We are intended to stay with Congress only,” clarified Nizamabad District Congress Committee (DCC). The DCC along with several leaders participated in a media meeting at the residence of former minister P Sudershan Reddy here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Assembly former speaker K R Suresh Reddy said the Congress had provided enormous opportunities like MLA, MLC, minister posts, council opposition leader and two times PCC president to D Srinivas (DS). After all these, now DS was switching over party, alleging Congress high command of not giving the opportunity as a MLC in the recently held elections.
Saying that DS has the misconception that the party high command had neglected him, Suresh Reddy requested DS to reconsider his decision to join TRS. Congress senior leader and former minister P Sudershan Reddy observed that DS was doing a big mistake of changing party for power and sought him to think once again.
He also said if DS was decided to leave Congress, then his followers and friends will stay with Congress only. Congress MLC Aakula Lalitha, Balkonda party in-charge Anil, NSUI former national leader and Nizamabad urban incharge B Mahesh Kumar Goud and others spoke on the occasion.
DS main followers former Nizamabad DCC president Gadugu Gangadhar, INTUC leader Venkulu, Ratnakar and WAKF Board Chairman Javeed Akarm clarified that they would stay with the party.
