Senior Congress leader D Srinivas late on Wednesday night dashed off a three-page resignation letter to AICC president Sonia Gandhi. Thanking AICC for allowing him to serve the party for four decades, he said the decision to bifurcate the state had resulted in great damage to the image of the party.


Even when it was finally bifurcated, decisions like making Hyderabad as common capital for 10 years and merging seven mandals of Khammam with AP were some of the wrong decisions of the party, he said. “The manner in which the TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao fought for 14 years for separate Telangana was something that needs to be appreciated,” he said.
