City hotel catches fire

A fire broke out in Manasa Hotel in Musheerabad area on Thursday morning. On seeing flames emanating from the hotel, the staff immediately alerted fire control. On receipt of information, fire tenders were rushed to the spot that doused the flames in about one hour.

Fire officials said it happened due to a short circuit in the hotel. No casualty was reported in the incident, but few computers, furniture, false ceiling and other accessories were reduced to ash. The exact loss of property was yet to be ascertained, the officials added.
