Hyderabad: The Cyber Crime Police on Friday arrested a 28-year-old man for duping unemployed youths by promising government jobs and cheating them out of lakhs of rupees. The accused Bharat Kumar alias Raj Gupta alias Ramesh Singh, a native of Patna in Bihar, contacted unemployed youths through his agents in the city. According to police, Bharat Kumar, an intermediate student, worked for some private organisations in Kolkata where he came in contact with one A K Patel, head of Bharat Skill Organisation, Kolkata.

During his tenure, he observed that it was the fake organisation and cheated unemployed youths by promising government jobs. They approached a broker through Just Dial and took the premises of Ramreddy in Banjara Hills. Later they approached Bright Consultancy to supply manpower to their office. Mobin, in-charge of Bright Consultancy, supplied Vijayanand as office in-charge and Sarika as telecaller. With these two people, Bharat started the office.

To make the candidates believe it as a genuine organisation, they conducted written examinations thrice at Medha V College, Mehdipatnam,” Additional CP (Crimes &SIT) Swati Lakra said adding they collected huge amounts from the unemployed youth and asked them to undergo training for 15 days after which would be posted to respective districts.

The scam came to light on June 20 when a TV channel approached the police giving information on fame job racket. Cyber Crime Police of Hyderabad conducted a raid and arrested four agents, Suryanarayana, M A Raoof, Ravi Naik, Ramchandra Naik on June 20 and other three, Vijayanand, Kusha Kumar and Mobin Ahmed on June 25. “We arrested the kingpin, Bharat, on Friday and agent Bala Krishna on Friday,” Swati said adding that efforts are afoot to arrest the absconding agents, Venugopal, Zakir and Rajendra Prasad.
