The employees of University of Hyderabad (UoH) paid homage to Babu Jagjivan Ram on his death anniversary on Monday in the administrative building. Babu Jagjivan Ram, known popularly as Babuji, has worked hard to bring about equality in India. He was an able Parliamentarian who championed the cause of the poor and the downtrodden in the country until he breathed his last.
He was widely admired for his leadership qualities and organisational abilities, and always remained a force to be reckoned with in Indian politics. Prof. R P Sharma, Vice-Chancellor; M Sudhakar, Registrar and other officials observed a minutes silence in the memory of Babuji.
