3 held for illegal manufacturing of drugs
Acting on specific intelligence that a psychotropic substance namely Alprazolam was being illicitly manufactured and stored in a factory premises in Jeedimetla, the officers of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) conducted a search operation and recovered 121 kilograms of Alprazolam from the said factory premises.

The Proprietor of the company, chemist and a person who came to take the delivery of the substance Alprazolam were arrested on Wednesday and produced before the court of VI Metropolitan Magistrate, Cyberabad, Medchal on Thursday. Also, a drying machine used for manufacturing the substance and cash of Rs 3,97,500 were seized under NDPS Act, 1985. The estimated value of the seized Alprazolam in the domestic market is approximately Rs 24.25 lakhs.
