The clashes broke out when police tried to push the supporters off the road after the latter took to the streets in protest.

A security guard has been arrested by the police in connection with the case.

As per reports, the child is a pre-nursery student and her father works with a restaurant. Her family lives in east Bengaluru. Medical tests have been conducted to determine whether the child was sexually attacked.


Earlier on Monday, the parents of the three-year-old nursery girl student lodged a complaint of sexual assault on their daughter in Indiranagar police station.

The parents suspected that the incident could have happened on the school premises. A family friend of the victim said, “The girl came home crying from school on Monday, complaining of abdominal pain.

When her mother asked, the girl said, ‘uncle.... school.’ The shocked mother informed her husband, who took her to Bowring Hospital where the doctors reportedly confirmed sexual assault.

The parents rushed to the Indiranagar station and lodged a complaint, even as doubts were raised over whether the child had been sexually assaulted at all.
