Prabhas in 'Baahubali- The Beginning'

This is the first time that a film made in a language that's not Hindi has managed to earn over Rs 500 crore and enter this hallowed club, reported Forbes magazine. A mythological drama about two brothers at war for a kingdom, the film stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead roles.

‘PK’ and ‘Dhoom: 3’, both starring Aamir Khan, were the films which earlier made over Rs 500 crore. There were concerns that ‘Baahubali – The Beginning’ will not be able to fend off competition from Salman Khan's ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ but both the films have held their own at the box office.

‘Baahubali’ has managed to hang on to more than 2,000 screens around the world in its fourth week. It has earned praise for its amazing special effects and its massive scale. Meanwhile, the Hindi version too raced past Rs 100 crore on Sunday. It is for the first time a dubbed South Indian film has managed to achieve this feat.
