According to Srinivas Sreeramaneni, the co-owner of the team, Chaudhari had sought a change as the additional burden of leading the squad was adversely impacting his game. Titans’ is the first team in the PKL to have an overseas player. He contended that Meraj ranks among the finest of contemporary players and was an asset to the team’s action plan given his robust athleticism.
He said that the team will hope to win all the four matches they would be hosting to ensure that they make the semifinal stage in their backyard. He said that they were giving 1000 complimentary tickets to kabaddi players and orphanages while leading software companies were evincing a keen interest to watch the matches.
The viewership of live telecast comes as a morale-booster to all the promoters and players, he said. On the future plans, Srinivas said that they would be on a talent hunt all through and any player who has potential and is recommended by head coach Udyan Kumar will be inducted in the team as a future prospect.
