Released on July 17, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, which focuses on the bond shared by a Pakistani mute girl and an Indian man, also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and child artist Harshaali Malhotra.
“#BajrangiBhaijaan remains strong. (Week 3) Friday 4.11 crore, Saturday 6.80 crore, Sunday 9.07 crore, Monday 2.75 crore. Total 294.98 crore. All Time Blockbuster,” says trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
He added that the film has crossed the total collection of Aamir Khan's ‘Dhoom 3’ and become the second highest grosser ever in Hindi films. “Bajrangi Bhaijaan crosses #Dhoom 3. Emerges second highest grosser (after #PK). Heading towards Rs.300 crore... Hindi films. India biz,” Adarsh added.
Aamir Khan starrer ‘PK’ had minted over 330 crore overall. Not just in India, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ has done “fabulous” business overseas too. The film had, upto Sunday, collected $ 23.5 million (150.54 crore) outside India.
