Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday called on Governor ESL Narsimhan and is learnt to have discussed various issues including phone tapping. Before meeting the Governor, KCR was briefed by intelligence chief Shivdhar Reddy. The Chief Minister is said to have briefed the Governor about the developments in regard to the observations made by the High Court on the issue.

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday called on Governor ESL Narsimhan and is learnt to have discussed various issues including phone tapping. Before meeting the Governor, KCR was briefed by intelligence chief Shivdhar Reddy. The Chief Minister is said to have briefed the Governor about the developments in regard to the observations made by the High Court on the issue.


It is learnt that the Governor who is going to Delhi on August 7 is likely to submit a report to the Centre on the issue. Also in his 30 minute meeting with the Governor, KCR is said to have briefed him about the new Telangana Universities Act, which is expected to be introduced in the monsoon session of the Assembly. He is said to have discussed plans to demolish Osmania Hospital and dates of Assembly session.


According to sources he briefed the governor about the proposal to do away with the old system of having Governors as Chancellors for all universities and explained his government’s position regarding AP government’s fresh allegations on Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University and Ambedkar Open University.
