4 year old girl raped in Chhattisgarh

Korba (Chhattisgarh): A four-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth at Rukbahari village in the district.

The incident took place last evening when a 19-year-old accused Mohan Dhobi, took the girl who was playing on a street, to his house and raped her, SHO of Balco police station P R Sahu said.

The girl's parents came to know about the incident after she complained of pain in her private parts after returning home, following which they informed police, the SHO said.

Later, Dhobi was arrested and a case under section 376 (rape) of IPC and relevant sections of Protection of Child from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) has been registered, he said, adding investigations were underway.
