Pawan-Chiru Kiss And Make Up. Setting aside the political differences, actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan on Saturday visited his elder brother K. Chiranjeevi\'s house here to greet him on 60th birthday.
Hyderabad: Setting aside the political differences, actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan on Saturday visited his elder brother K. Chiranjeevi's house here to greet him on 60th birthday.
The meeting assumed significance in view of recent reports of serious differences between two actor brothers.
On Friday night, Pawan's fans had created a scene during a party to mark Chiranjeevi's birthday at a convention centre here, wanting to know why Pawan was not invited.
Another brother Naga Babu vented his ire at his fans, asking them to go to Pawan and check how many times he was invited.
Unhappy over Chiranjeevi's decision to merge Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) with the Congress, Pawan had distanced himself. He floated Jana Sena Party before last year's elections but backed the Bharatiya Janata Party-Telugu Desam Party alliance in the polls while his brother was leading Congress' campaign in Andhra Pradesh.
Chiranjeevi, a member of Rajya Sabha will be attended a party hosted by his actor son Ram Charan at a star hotel on Saturday night.
Chiranjeevi's wife Surekha and eldest daughter Sushmita offered prayers at a temple in Film Nagar in posh Jubliee Hills here.
The actor's fans from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh donated blood at Chiranjeevi Blood Bank on the occasion.
Popular as mega star among his fans, Chiranjeevi had launched PRP a few months before 2009 elections. However, unlike his many super-hit films, the political party proved a flop as it bagged only 18 seats in 294-member assembly of the united Andhra Pradesh and drew a blank in Lok Sabha polls.
In 2011, Chiranjeevi merged PRP with Congress. He was nominated to Rajya Sabha and made a central minister by the then Congress-led UPA government.
Born as Konidela Siva Shankara Varaprasad on Aug 22, 1955 in Mogalturu, a small village in coastal district of West Godavari in Andhra Pradesh, Chiranjeevi acted in 149 films in his career spanning over three decades.
He is preparing to act in 150th film to be produced by his son.
