Siramdas Sunitha, a Secondary-level Social Studies teacher from the TSWREI Society, Shaikpet, has received a formal letter from the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) regarding her selection for the prestigious 2015 Teaching Excellence and Achievement (TEA) six-week training programme in the US in 2016.

Siramdas SunithaHyderabad: Siramdas Sunitha, a Secondary-level Social Studies teacher from the TSWREI Society, Shaikpet, has received a formal letter from the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) regarding her selection for the prestigious 2015 Teaching Excellence and Achievement (TEA) six-week training programme in the US in 2016.


According to Secretary, R S Praveen Kumar, out of the 21 teachers from the society who attended screening test and interview, Siramdas Sunitha, PGT (Social Studies) from TSWRS/Jr. College, Shaikpet, Hyderabad district was selected. TEA programme of the United States is meant for the government teachers who have put in minimum of 5 years teaching experience in government schools, duly sponsored by the employer.


This training is offered through the United States – India Educational Foundation (USIEF) which promotes mutual understanding between Indian nationals and the nationals of the US, through educational exchange of outstanding scholars, professionals and students.


Sunitha said, “I am grateful to the Secretary, TSWREI for bestowing on me this rare opportunity. I deem it as recognition to my commitment towards the teaching profession.”
