CM N Chandrababu Naidu asked his Cabinet colleagues to suitably take on YSRCP chief and Opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy as he may attempt an attack on the government.

Andhra Pradesh Nirudyogula Ikya Vedika (unemployed JAC) chalked out a five–point programme, demanding the State government fill up two lakh vacancies in different departments and immediately release of notifications for the same.

Founder-president of the Vedika, L Govinda Rao and other office-bearers, speaking to the media on Sunday, said it was decided to organise hunger strike at Indira Park on August 31 and lay seize to NTR Bhavan on September 1, followed by gheraoing of Chief Minister’s camp office on September 2 and finally laying seize to the Assembly on September 4.

Rao said that the objective of their programme was to draw the attention of the State government to the plight of the growing number of unemployed youth. Other demands include abolition of contract and out-sourcing system, implementation of the promise of one job for one family and unemployment allowance of Rs 5 000 per month.
