Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy demanded the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to give an ultimatum to the Central Government with a threat to pull out his ministers from the Central Cabinet if the Special Category Status was not accorded to the state within a month.

"Why can't you give a deadline to the centre on the Special Staus even after 15 months of coming to power?" YS Jagan dared the AP CM. If they serve an ultimatum to the Centre, the demand will be strengthened, the YSRCP chief said.

Later, Chandrababu unanimously passed a resolution urging the Central Government to grant Special Status to the State and fulfill all the promises mentioned in the bifurcation bill.
