Govt committed to root out graft: Dy CM. Telangana State Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali inspected the Serilingampally Tahsildar office here on Tuesday.

Hyderabad: Telangana State Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali inspected the Serilingampally Tahsildar office here on Tuesday. During the visit, Mahmood Ali inspected various revenue records and enquired about the extent of government land available under the particular Tahsildar jurisdiction and also about the extent of land under unauthorised encroachments.

Speaking to the media, the Deputy Chief Minister said that large extents of lands in Telangana State, especially in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts, were encroached by some persons with the support of the previous regimes. He said the State government was in the process of surveying and consolidating all land records.

Mahmood Ali said that the government was committed to curb corruption which seemed to be rampant at lower levels and see that the general public was not put to unnecessary hardships in accessing services from the department.

In order to create conducive atmosphere in the revenue offices, many of which were currently housed in rented premises, proposals were being readied to build Revenue offices wherever needed.

The Deputy CM was accompanied by Ranga Reddy District Revenue Officer Dharma Reddy, RDO (Rajendranagar) Suresh and Personal Secretary to Deputy Chief Minister (Revenue) K E John Wesley.
