Hyderabad: Is Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu outdated? This issue dominated the Assembly and the lobbies more than the controversy centering round denial of special status to Andhra Pradesh. A remark made by the leader of opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy that the Chief Minister belongs to older generation and does not have the time or patience to do home work and hence he was not able to clarify if the State would get special status or not and explain the benefits from category would derive.


Whereas he (Jagan) belongs to the present generation and so managed to get details about the advantages of special status from the Parliamentary Research Wing. As Jagan went on to read out the advantages the special status tag would bring for the State, for a moment even Naidu looked perplexed and asked his office to find out the details.


A little later Naidu intervening in the discussion told Jagan that he was trying to project himself as if he was a great intellectual who had gone round the world and had some extraordinary knowledge. Naidu said the document Jagan was quoting from does not belong to parliament and that it was not a policy document.
