Ola joins hands with Indian Oil to enable fuelling cash-back for Indian drivers

Ola, India’s leading mobile app for personal transportation today announced a first of its kind partnership with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) to offer cash backs to all its drivers when they fuel up their vehicles at Indian Oil fuel stations across the country. Ola, India’s leading mobile app for personal transportation today announced a first of its kind partnership with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) to offer cash backs to all its drivers when they fuel up their vehicles at Indian Oil fuel stations across the country. Cash backs will also be applicable on CNG fuelling in Delhi. This is a testament of Ola’s commitment to CNG adoption in the National Capital.
This initiative follows the recent announcement of ‘Ola Green Pragati Week’ where Ola declared benefits of up to Rs. 100,000 to drivers who were switching to CNG vehicles in the state of Delhi.
In addition to the exciting cash backs, Ola is also setting up mobile contact centers at IOCL CNG pumps across Delhi to encourage CNG adoption by reaching out to more driver-partners who would like to register themselves on the platform. Ola will also facilitate on-the-go audits and trainings at over 50 CNG pumps of IOCL, allowing driver-partners to do more rides in the city during the day.
A majority of cars on the Ola platform in Delhi are already on CNG. In the last one week, Ola has added more than 3,000 CNG vehicles to its platform in Delhi in order to ensure that customers in the city have a cab available with a 5-minute ETA, as always.
Pranay Jivrajka, Chief Operating Officer at Ola said, “We are committed to CNG adoption and promotion of the same in the state of Delhi. In order to accelerate this, we have formalized partnerships with leading car dealers, financing partners and essential stakeholders like Indian Oil Corporation Limited, creating a conducive ecosystem for drivers to grow as entrepreneurs.
At a national level, these partnerships will help in delivering immense value to our driver-partners over and above increased revenue that will make mobility possible for a billion people on the Ola platform!”
All driver-partners on Ola will be given smart fuel-cards, which can be used for cash-backs on fuelling in IOCL's fuel stations across the country. Drivers can get upto Re. 1 cash-back for every liter/kg of fuel filled at IOCL pumps and can benefit from savings of up to Rs. 1,000 every month on fuel on a cumulative basis.
This partnership will also enable additional benefits for Ola driver partners in the time to come. Some of the privileges include special on-spot referral scheme, rewards to drivers on fuelling on specific days of the month at specific IOCL outlets amongst others.
