ONGC in its endeavour to improve the health index of the people in its operational areas has extended financial assistance of Rs 10 Lakh to the district administration’s initiative to improve mother and child health in the region. The support will provide supplementary nutrition (food basket) to the women hailing from below poverty line and undergo institutional delivery.

Mr. RK Sharma, GM-HR, Rajahmundry Asset presented the financial assistance cheque to the district collector H.Arun Kumar today at R&B Guest house Rajahmundry. ONGC has been partnering in the progress of the regions where it is working since inception. While evaluating the project assistance under the CSR, ONGC adheres to the guidelines of the Government of India earnestly, stated Mr. Sharma, on the occasion.

On the occasion of World Blood Donation Day, ONGC organized a massive blood donation camp in Rajahmundry city and across its installations and work centers. The initiative witnessed strong attendance and over 250 noble souls donated the blood. Taking the step further, ONGC medical team also performed blood transfusion at the camp for two thalassemia afflicted children as well.

This initiative only depicts the spirit of ONGCians who are always at the forefront when it comes to giving back to the society.
