According to reports, a cloning gang targeted the TDP MP who shopped at a mall in Bangalore and siphoned off Rs 50,000 recently. The MP received a text message from his bank in which it was mentioned Rs 50,000 was withdrawn from his account at an ATM in Goa.
Shocked by the message,Thota Narasimham lodged a complaint with the cyber crime police.
The cyber crime officials say that the cloning gang might have got the details of the card by using card skimmers.
