Hyderabad: The muhurat for state wide launching of TRS government’s flagship 2 BHK housing scheme has been set. It would be launched in all 119 assembly constituencies on the auspicious occasion of Dasara (Octo- ber 22).

Telangana Chief Minister and TRS President K Chandrashekar Rao directed the party MLAs and MLCs to take steps for launching the scheme on priority basis in their constituencies.

The legislators should sit with the district officials and identify government lands to kickstart the scheme, at any cost, on that day, he said. Speaking in the TRS Legislature Party meeting held at Telangana Bhavan on Thursday,

KCR called upon MLAs and MLCs to work extensively to ensure that the fruits of welfare schemes reached the doorsteps of the common man.

If any deserving person missed out on pension, ration card or some other scheme, legislators should immediately take up the issue with concerned officials and get the job done, he stressed. Further,

he tasked legislators with full responsibility of completing works related to Drinking Water Grid and Mission Kakatiya in their respective segments.

They should focus on expediting pipeline works on priority basis, he said. He reminded the partymen about his promise to contest 2019 elections only if the Water Grid project was completed.

Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy, speaking at a press conference, stated that Dubbaka, Siddipet, Gajwel, Jangaon, Aler, Bhongir, Station Ghanpur constituencies would reap benefits of Water Grid project within a year.

KCR told the legislators not to bother about Opposition parties’ baseless criticism against the government. They were resorting to such steps unable to digest the good work of the government, he stated.
