Fiat Abarth Punto to launch on October 19

Fiat is set to launch the sporty Abarth version of the Punto hatchback, powered by a 1.4-litre T-Jet motor churning out 145PS. The Aparth Punto is one of the most powerful hatchbacks made in India and will be priced around Rs 10 lakh.

The new Fiat Abarth Punto will come to India on October 19 with a price tag of under Rs 10 lakh. The new Fiat Abarth Punto will come with a 1.4-litre T-jet petrol engine churning out maximum power output of 145bhp and maximum torque of 212Nm, mated to a five-speed manual transmission.

As for speed, the car will accelerate from 0-100 km/hr in just 8.8 seconds. Now that's fast. The Fiat Abarth Punto is also the fastest car in its segment. Moreover, Fiat claims that the new Fiat Abarth Punto gives a fuel efficiency of 16.3km/l.

The new Fiat Abarth Punto comes with 16 inch Abarth alloy wheels with a ground clearance of 155 mm and a boot space of 280 litres. With the features that the new Abarth Punto is providing, the money for the new hot hatch seems only right, with no direct competition in the segment apart from VW GT.
