Ram Mohan, Avika team up again

The producer has roped in (late) director Shoban’s son Santosh as the protagonist

Avika Gor is on a roll. After the super success of ‘Cinema Choopista Maava’, the Mumbai-based actress has signed her next in Telugu. It is reliably learnt that she would star as the leading lady in a Telugu film titled ‘Tanu Nenu’. Late Tollywood director Shoban’s son Santosh Shoban will make his debut as the protagonist with the film.

P Ram Mohan, who produced praiseworthy cinema like ‘Ashta Chamma’, ‘Golconda High School’ and penned superstar Nagarjuna’s forthcoming drama ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’, will make his directorial debut with the rom-com.

“It is a teenage love story and the makers needed a fresh yet reputed female face for the female lead. When Ram Mohan and his team sounded the plot line to Avika, she was more than pleased to green-lit it,” said a source close to the development.

The pre-production work for the film has already commenced and the director is currently giving final touches to the script. Interestingly, it was Ram Mohan who launched Avika in Tollywood with his film ‘Uyyala Jampala’.
