Student arrested for sexually exploiting minor
A student from Old City in Hyderabad was arrested by the police following a complaint from a minor girl’s parents that their daughter was sexually exploited by the accused and cheated the victim.

Hyderabad: A student from Old City in Hyderabad was arrested by the police following a complaint from a minor girl’s parents that their daughter was sexually exploited by the accused and cheated the victim.
According to Rein Bazar Inspector, G Ramesh, accused Shaik Nabi Aslam (20), a student from Yakuthpura developed friendship with the 17-year-old girl from his neighbourhood.
The duo’s intimacy led to physical relationship for over one year and he also promised to marry her. After the victim’s parents learnt about their daughter’s relationship,
they requested Aslam to marry their daughter. Aslam reluctantly refused for their request and avoided them, the inspector said. Based on the complaint lodged by the victim’s parents,
police booked a case against Aslam under Section 417, 420 and 376 (i) of IPC and Section 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and arrested the accused.
