A software engineer, working as system administrator in an IT company, was arrested by the city cyber crime police on Tuesday, 10 months after his wife complained about her husband’s perverted activities of posting her number and pictures online.
A software engineer, working as system administrator in an IT company, was arrested by the city cyber crime police on Tuesday, 10 months after his wife complained about her husband’s perverted activities of posting her number and pictures online.
The accused E Murali Krishna, 38, resident of Malakpet, was married to Bhagyalakshmi in 2002. Since then, he was harassing the victim physically and mentally.
He had posted her number and pictures on several websites stating that she was a call girl. Unable to bear the harassment, she had complained to the cyber crime police in January 2015.
The accused had also demanded dowry of Rs 1 crore from her family and took Rs 10 lakh after negotiation, the victim told reporters.
After detailed investigation into the allegations by the woman, the police arrested Murali Krishna from his residence at Tirumala Hills in Malakpet on Tuesday.
The police said they had seized a computer, one hard disk and a mobile phone from the accused person’s possession
