Papa Anil proud of Sonam’s choices

Actor Anil Kapoor said that filmmakers trust his daughter Sonam as an actress.

Sonam, who made her debut in Bollywood with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ‘Saawariya’ in 2007, has worked with directors like Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra in ‘Delhi-6’ and ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, Aanand L Rai's ‘Raanjhanaa’ and Sooraj Barjatya in her recent release ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’.

"So far, Sonam has made good choices. She has hardly done enough films as compared to what I had done in eight years. But she has chosen big and good filmmakers. It shows how much people trust her as an actress," said Anil.

Anil's younger daughter Rhea is a producer, who has made films like ‘Aisha’ and ‘Khoobsurat’. Rhea's upcoming project is ‘Battle for Bittora’. Anil's son Harshvardhan Kapoor will soon make his debut with Mehra's ‘Mirziy.

"I feel happy but I am always anxious as a father. I have mixed emotions. I never really imagined that it is going to happen. You can't really predict the future of your children, can't predict their success. It's their destiny. I think my children have also come with their own destiny. Now it is up to them," said Anil.
