Udaya Bhaskar appointed new chairman of APPSC
Dr P Udaya Bhaskar, Professor of Civil Engineering, JNTU - Kakinada has been appointed as the Chairman of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC). The orders in this regard have been by been issued by Chief Secretary I Y R Krishna Rao, on Wednesday.

Dr P Udaya Bhaskar is currently working as Director of Evaluation. He pursued his B Tech in Civil Engineering from JNTU - Kakinada (1983) M Tech (1985) and Ph D from IIT Kanpur (2004).
He has been working in the University as a faculty member for more than 28 years and held various positions like Head of Civil Engineering, Director, Foreign Universities and Alumni Relations, Director Academics & Planning and Principal of the Engineering College at Kakinada and Vizianagaram campuses.
He has presented more than 30 research papers in various national/international journals/conferences. His main contributions to the varsity are initiating various collaborative academic programs, admission foreign students/NRIs, alumni contributions, NBA accreditation, UGC Autonomy and TEQIP to UCEK, and rapid progress of campus at Vizianagaram.
