Venky’s hiatus to end on Dec 16

In a sweet bit of news for all Venkatesh fans, the muhurat of his yet-untitled flick with director Maruthi will take place on December 16 in Hyderabad.

According to producer S Nagavamsi, the film will go on floors on the same day itself. The superstar, who has been away from the arc lights for almost a year, will be playing a funny cop in the film, a family entertainer.

Nayantara is on board to romance him, while southern sensation Ghibran will render tunes. The makers are planning to release the film for summer next year.
