Krishank Manne, a Research Fellow at Department of Communication and Journalism, Osmania University, has been invited by British Deputy High Commissioner Andrew McAllister to join the nine- member delegation to represent Indian Young Politicians at London.

Krishank ManneHyderabad: Krishank Manne, a Research Fellow at Department of Communication and Journalism, Osmania University, has been invited by British Deputy High Commissioner Andrew McAllister to join the nine- member delegation to represent Indian Young Politicians at London.

The delegation will leave for London on November 29. The British sponsored programme is an exchange of views on democracy, international relations, social issues and more importantly youth politics.

During the tour the team would visit British House of Parliament, Electoral Commission, Office of Mayor, Oxford University, British Library and would be meeting the Youth wing Presidents of Conservative and Labour Parties and also meet Members of Parliament Bob Blackman (Conservative Party) and Stephen Pound (Labour Party).

Krishank will give a presentation on participation of youth in main stream politics, social aspects relating to caste and differentiating it from class struggles, discussing effects and impact of colonialism which continues to impact the suffering of farmers in India during the tour.

He added that he would also share his experience of historic Telangana student movement and perspectives of young democratic politics and vibrancy of social issues raised by student leaders at large.
