“Swarajhuri” capital based musical organisation has conducted 2 days of classical music concerts at Sri Siva Rama Krishna Kshetram on Wednesday and Thursday.

World renowned Carnatic veena artist Nirmala Rajasekar performing on venna along with team during the 'Swarajhuri' program Siva Rama Krishna Kshetram (Rama Koti) on Thursday. “Swarajhuri” capital based musical organisation has conducted 2 days of classical music concerts at Sri Siva Rama Krishna Kshetram on Wednesday and Thursday. Vocal concert of Vighnesh Eswar (Chennai) and Veena concert of Nirmala Rajashekhar (Bangalore) had been arranged.

The Music festival started with the impressive vocal solo of Vighnesh Eswar of Chennai. Eswar was born in Mumbai and took training from Palakkad TS Anantaram Bhagavatar at the age of 4. He developed his talent under the guidance of eminent musician master TM Krishnan in Chennai.

Vighnesh commenced concert with Sri Thyagaraja swamy keerthana “Jagadananda karaka” (Nata Ragam) and continued with “Bhavamathi” in Mohana Ragam, Kamalavathi Kamalasana” in Varali, “Sarada Bhujanga Stotram”. He concluded his concert with a Javali. He had captured the auditorium with her fabulous voice. The concert supported by M. Rajeev (Chennai) on Violin, K. Sai Giridhar (Chennai) on mridangam and M. Haribabu on Ghatam.

On the second day of the series, the audience enjoyed the Veena concert of Nirmala Rajasekhar (Bangalore), who started her music journey from the age of 6 under the excellent teachings by G. Chennamma, Alamelu, Kamala Aswarthama, D. Narayana ayyar. She also started “Nadarasa center for Music” in Bangalore to train the students.

Nirmala started the concert with Natakurunji varnam and continued with the composition of Purandhara dasu “Jaya Jaya Janiki Bala”, Subbaraya Sastry’s “Janani Ninuvina”, Yetavunara”, “Sri Rama Sri Rama” of Saint Thyagaraja. She concluded the concert with the composition of Ramadasu “ Ramachandraya Janaka”. Able instrumental support rendered by P. Jaya Bhaskar on Mrudangam and by M. Hari Babu on Ghatam. The founder secretary Modumudi Sudhakar has conducted the programme.
