Australian spin great Shane Warne has come up with some remedies to improve the iconic longer-format of the game after South Africa's early exit in the first innings of the third Test against India raised many eyebrows in the cricketing community.

Expressing his suggestions on his Facebook page, Warne proposed some ideas that he thinks will move the format forward. He said that Test matches should last four days, with 100 overs a day and that each day should have two 30 minute breaks, and called for the play to be extended by 30 minutes, Sport24 reported.

The 46-year-old further said that there should be no toss in the Test cricket in order to stop terrible pitches being played on and to make the curator accountable to prepare an even pitch for both teams.

He said that the Duke Ball should be used in every country as it does more swings and seams, while the white Kookaburra ball should be used in ODI and T20s only.

South Africa scored their lowest innings score against India when they struggled against the spinning trio of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravendra Jadeja and Amit Mishra before being bundled out for 79 on the second day.
