Nithya to romance Rahul Ravindran

Nithya Shetty, who made her Tollywood debut with ‘Daagudu Mootha Dandakor’ earlier this year, is set to play one of the lead roles in ‘Sobhan Babu’ starring Rahul Ravindran in the titular role.

A source says, “After going through her earlier efforts and portfolio, director Viplav believed she has the right looks for the role of a conventional girl and eventually roped her in.”

Nithya, who has a striking resemblance to Swathi Reddy, is currently working on an untitled Telugu film opposite Karthik Raju, directed by debutante Chunia. The actress has also recently forayed into Tamil with ‘Aivaraattam’.
