Hyderabad: The immigration authorities at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) on Saturday detained 11 women for possessing two visas – one tourist and another work permit. According to officials, the women, who hailed from Kadapa, booked the air tickets to travel to Dubai on Saturday from RGIA airport.

During the check, the women showed the tourist visas to the officials. When the officials asked them about their travel plans, the women were obviously taken aback and produced the work visas too.

Now it was the turn of the officials to be taken aback. Those travelling abroad cannot have two different visas, the authorities explained. Those, who are particularly going to Dubai for jobs, would go there on tourist visa first and then secure work visa once they secure the employment.

On suspicion, the authorities handed the women to the police for questioning. During the interrogation, the women, who are all illiterate, told the police that an agent in Kadapa had given them two visas. The police have now launched manhunt for the agent.
