Breakfast with Children to promote awareness on AIDS
To increase awareness on the HIV/AIDS, district Medical and Health Department and AIDS Control Society are jointly organising a few programmes on the occasion of World AIDS Day that falls on December 1 every year.
To increase awareness on the HIV/AIDS, district Medical and Health Department and AIDS Control Society are jointly organising a few programmes on the occasion of World AIDS Day that falls on December 1 every year. The programmes are aimed at not only educating public about the disease but to encourage the positive patients to take up treatment.
Additional DMHO Dr T V S N Sastry speaking to the newsmen here on Monday said that they will hold a programme ‘Breakfast with Children’ at Vasavya Mahila Mandali from 8 am followed by a rally from Hotel DV Manor to Siddhartha Auditorium in Moghalrajpuram.
A meeting will be held aiming to educate more about the prevention of HIV virus from pregnant women to babies, prevention and care for the patients, treatment procedures and services that are rendered by the government for infected MLA Gadde Rammohan, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Gadde Anuradha and district Collector Babu A will take part in the AIDS awareness programmes.
