As part of the 13th Annual Day celebrations of Sreenidhi International School, schoolchildren recreated a Bundelkhandi folktale, ‘Geet Ka Kamal’ recently.

As part of the 13th Annual Day celebrations of Sreenidhi International School, schoolchildren recreated a Bundelkhandi folktale, ‘Geet Ka Kamal’ recently.

The annual production highlighted the significance of music in a colourful evening with mesmerising performances bringing forth the tale of Geet and Ratan, the only two people in the village called Basantpur where everyone sings.

The evening unfolded a tale of discrimination and exploitation by the villagers and the journey of the couple as they compose songs for each other.

Eminent writer and famous for portraying “Brits” in retro movies of Bollywood, Tom Alter participated in the function and was impressed by the production, set design and young talent from the Primary School.

The Chairman of the school Dr KT Mahhe and Executive Director and Principal S Sarithha Katikaneni and other management members were present.
