Yamaha has launched the new FZ25 in India. The bike is priced at Rs 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and it is targeted towards the youth. The bike looks quite appealing and it is offered in three colours Ballistic Blue, Warrior White and Knight Black. The FZ25 will be available from February 2017.

Yamaha has launched the new FZ25 in India. The bike is priced at Rs 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and it is targeted towards the youth. The bike looks quite appealing and it is offered in three colours Ballistic Blue, Warrior White and Knight Black. The FZ25 will be available from February 2017.

Powering the Yamaha FZ25 is a 249cc, single-cylinder, FI, SOHC engine and it has been tuned for Indian riding conditions. The engine is also compliant with BS IV emission norms. The maximum power output is 20.9 PS at 8000 RPM while the peak torque is 20 Nm at 6000 RPM. The engine comes coupled to a 5-speed gearbox and the claimed fuel efficiency is 43 km/l. The fuel tank capacity is 14-litres.

The Yamaha FZ25 comes with features like LED headlamps, LCD instrument cluster, racing style footpegs, alloys inspired by the MT series, etc. The bike weighs 148 kgs. The length, width and height of the FZ25 are 2015 mm, 770 mm and 1075 mm respectively. The seat height is 795 mm and the wheelbase is 1360 mm.

The FZ25 gets a 282 mm disc up front and 220 mm disc at the rear. The front suspension is a telescopic fork while you get a swingarm at the rear. The Yamaha FZ25 will compete with the KTM Duke 200, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and of course the 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS.
