Kinnera Art theatres organised a three-day Lalita Sangeetholsavam, which came to a close over the weekend. The event was organised with the assistance of Department of Language and Culture, Government of Andhra Pradesh at Sri Ghnatasala Venkateswwara Rao Government Music and dance College.

Kinnera Art theatres organised a three-day Lalita Sangeetholsavam, which came to a close over the weekend. The event was organised with the assistance of Department of Language and Culture, Government of Andhra Pradesh at Sri Ghnatasala Venkateswwara Rao Government Music and dance College.

On the inaugural day noted music composer Bandaru Chittibabu from Srikakulam presented light music songs written by Devulapalli, Dasaradhi and others. The songs were rendered by T Saiprasanthi, K Rammohanrao, Venkateswarai Umadevi, Satyanarayana, Simmanna and Pavan.
On second day the ‘Ghantasala Sangeetha vibhavari’ was organised under the supervision of Dr T Saratchandra.

The artistes Saratchandra, DS Ramya, Ch ANarayana, D. Maheswari and D Chandrasekhar presented songs of Ghantasala ‘Seshasailavasa Sri Venkatesa’, ‘Nee kondakuneve rappinchuko’, ‘Ravoyi Bangaru maama’, ‘Talaninda puudanda dalchina rani’, ‘Pata padana Prabhuu..’, which were all enjoyed by the audience.

On the concluding day, Dr Balantarapu Rajanikanta Rao was felicitated by the organisers on this occasion. President of the organisation Dr Prabhakara Rao, Secretary Maddali Raghuram, Kolakaluri Enouch, Vedavathi Prabhakar, Malladi Suribabu and Modumudi Sudhakar were also present on the dais.

Malldi Suribabu rendered melodious songs with his metallic voice and acclaimed appreciations from public. Audience fully enjoyed the song “amma donga ninnu’of Palagummi Viswanatham sung by Vedavathi Prabhakar. Modumudi Sudhakar presented patriotic, devotional light songs with his team consisting of CVP Sastry, Mohana Vamsy, A Saiteja, Srutiranjani, Darbha Mruduravali.

Sudhakar commenced with a group song “Jaya Jaya Bharata janani” and continued with Devulapalli’s “Edabasi pokoyi’ sung by Modumudi Shrutiranjani, Bhuvanachandra’s “Reyi gadachipoyina” by D Mruduravali, OB Reddy’s song “leenami pona” rendered by Mohanavamsy, Boyi Bhimanna’s lyric “Manase Madhumasamu” rendered by CVP Sastry and another song sung by A Saiteja “Madhumasam Vachindani”. The concert was supported by S Anjaneyulu on keyboard, Dinakar on guitar and Saikiran on tabla.
