On this occasion Mahadeva Lakshminarayana Raju’s memorial award was presented to Kottapalli Vandana, vocal artiste of SV Music College of Triupati. Speaking on this noted musician AnnavarapuRamaswamy welcomed the decision of the organisers to present awards to upcoming artists and youth. Patibandla Janaki and PopuriGowrinath also highlighted the services of Lakshminarayana Raju to the music world.
The disciples of Lakshminarayana Raju, K Aravind, M Sivananda, Yasasvi, K Mahesh, Karthikeya Adinaryana were presented excellent layavinyasam on this dais. This was followed by the vocal concert of Kottapalli Vandana.
The audience appreciated the melodious voice of Vandana. This concert was supported by M Haribabu on Ghatam, Saigiridhar on mridangam, Raghuram Hari on morsing. This programme was conducted by Phalgun.
