Railways conduct cleanliness drive
South Central Railway Vijayawada Divisional Manager R Dhananjayulu, ADRM K Venugopal Rao, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Shifali, Incharge PRO JVRK Rajasekhar with other officials and Railway hospital staff participated in the cleanliness drive at the hospital in Vijayawada on Sunday.
South Central Railway Vijayawada Divisional Manager R Dhananjayulu, ADRM K Venugopal Rao, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Shifali, Incharge PRO JVRK Rajasekhar with other officials and Railway hospital staff participated in the cleanliness drive at the hospital in Vijayawada on Sunday. Later, a similar drive was conducted at the Lokoshed where officials with the support of staff cleaned the shed and removed the waste materials.
The drive was conducted in response to the nation-wide cleanliness drive conducted by Indian Railways in view of the Swachhata Hi Seva-Sramadhan conducted by Central Government on cleanliness from September 15 to October 2. Swatch Bharat Diwas will be observed on October 2 to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Railway staff in other parts of the division also conducted cleanliness drive on Sunday.
