Justice A Ramalingeswara Rao of High Court has advised the youth to play a pivotal role to eradicate corruption in the society, which is hampering the development of the country in all aspects. Unveiling the bronze statue of great freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju on Godavari bund on Friday, he said ours is the young India and it is the responsibility of the youth to combat the menace.

“Alluri Sitarama Raju strived to get freedom to our country as well as to protect the rights of tribals, through various movements. Sitarama Raju fought against Britishers in revolutionary concept in those days and now we are moving as per constitution,” he said.

“Right To Information Act (RTI) and Constitution are behind us to fight against corruption,” he said and asked the youth to avail RTI and constitution to combat the menace. Statues of great leaders inspire the youth.

Alluri Sitarama Raju Yuvajana Samsta president Padala Veerabhadra Rao, elite of the city Bommana Raj Kumar, RSP Rao, RV Sekhar and others were present.
